• Do I have to pay to be on your site?
You pay a $5.00 fee to start your 1 week trial.  I charge this fee so I can limit the number of stories I get.---back to top

You must send me an email with your story.  Send it to dzines@metrocast.net.--Please keep it about 5 sentences long (no one reads more than that).  I reserve the right to edit your story, to shorten it, to fix grammar and spelling, to make it more appealing by adding humor, etc.  I will post the story as soon as I can.  I usually post within 24 hours.---back to top

• Why did my story start on page 2 instead of page 1?
All new stories start on Page 2.  People pay extra to get on Page 1.  If you want to get on Page 1 see the link at the top of any page.---back to top

• My story is posted but I don't see any donations yet!
It's very possible that you have donations but I just didn't post them yet.  I post donations in batches several times a week.  One day you may have none and the next day you may have several!---back to top

• Do I get paid for donations during my trial period?
You will see your donations accumulate under your story.  You will receive your first donation payment after you successfully complete your trial period and become a full member.  Payments are made the Friday or Saturday after your trial is complete.---back to top

• How do I successfully complete my trial and become a full member? All you have to do is sit back and wait for your trial period to end.  Paypal will automatically send the subscription payment you agreed to when you subscribed.  Or, if you rather cancel your subscription before the trial ends just follow the instructions for canceling below.---back to top

• Why do you charge a fee at all?  Don't you realize I am broke!
Charging a fee is the only way I can limit the number of stories submitted.  And not everyone who begs is broke!  Some just beg just for the fun of it and do not mind paying to keep the site running (and most of them are good donators too!).---back to top

• Do I get the entire donation given to me?
The Beggar's Club keeps 5% of all donations to help with the cost of running the web site.---back to top

• Are we allowed to donate to each other?
Yes, of course!  Many members donate to each other.  It's all about good karma!  Feel free to donate even if it's a dollar!  It can be your good deed for the day! back to top

• Can you guarantee I get a donation?
NO.  I can't guarantee a thing.  But I work hard at recruiting people to donate to the site... VERY hard!  So far, everyone on my site has received donations!---back to top

• Will I get all the money I ask for?
Not if you ask for a lot.  Just look at the site and see what others are getting.  Don't expect to get more than the others.  This site is not intended to save your life, pay all your debt, buy you a new house, etc.  It's intended to get you some extra money to spend on whatever you want!---back to top

• I see that someone donated to me.  Why didn't you tell me?
Donations are posted at so many different times of day that it's not possible for me to contact everyone every time they get a donation.  I post donations in batches several times a week.  I suggest you bookmark my site and check it often!  It's fun to look and see if you got a buck or two or three or more!---back to top

• I see NP next to my donation.  What does that mean?
NP means not paid.  It means you have not been paid the donation yet.  You will be paid once a week on Friday or Saturday after you successfully complete your trial period and become a full member.---back to top

• What type of story should I write?
First read The Psychology of Begging 101!--Then send me a short story about 5 sentences long (if it's longer I will edit it).  Make it sweet and add some humor.  Do not sound desperate!  Do NOT say that you need a lot of money like $20,000.  DO say that you will gladly accept very small donations.  If you are in need of a specific item that is not very expensive, you can state the price you need (like $100) and some donators will actually give you the full amount!---back to top

• Why do donations go directly to The Beggar's Club and not directly to me?
Donations come directly to The Beggar's Club so your identity is totally protected.  If you had your own paypal button like on the other sites, anyone (especially scammers) can get your email address.---back to top

• Will I get scam emails promising big money?
You will NEVER get scam emails by being on my web site.  No one will ever get your email address from me.  The only person who will ever contact you is me!  In fact, my site is the only site that keeps your identity totally protected.  Beggars don't even know who the other beggars are!  If you are contacted by someone promising you big bucks in the form of a check it's because your story is still on another site somewhere.  Get off those sites and stick with ME!---back to top

• Isn't calling people "beggars" insulting?
The practice is called cyberbegging.  Other sites call it begging.  So I call it begging too!---back to top

• Why do you let some people ask for such frivolous things like a new pair of jeans when some of us are in desperate need of money?
I do not believe that only the desperate should be allowed to "beg."  Some people are more successful asking for frivolous things!  See the The Psychology of Begging 101 page!  Even rich people pick pennies up off the ground.  We are all in this together!---back to top

• How do I cancel my subscription?
Simply go to your paypal account and cancel the subscription.  All subscriptions will remain active if you do not cancel through paypal.  I do not cancel subscriptions for you.  Keep in mind that cancellation is effective immediately and your story will be deleted from the site.  There are no refunds for partially used subscriptions.---back to top

• I did not cancel my subscription yet I got a cancellation notice and my story is off the site.  What happened?
If you did not cancel your subscription then paypal canceled it for some reason.  You should contact them to find out why.  But I promise you, I did not cancel your subscription.---back to top

• If I cancel my subscription, will I get the donations that are posted under my story but not paid to me yet?
If your subscription is canceled you will no longer receive donations.---back to top

• If I cancel my subscription, will my story continue to run it's course?
When your subscription is canceled, your story will be deleted from the site.  Any unpaid donations will be given to someone else on the site.  If you have already paid to be on the site for several weeks you may as well wait and not cancel right away because your story could still get donations!---back to top

• Why do some people get lots of donations and others get just a few?
It all depends on the story and what strikes the donator's fancy.  I always suggest you put humor in your story and not sound desperate.  Please read The Psychology of Begging 101!.---back to top

• Do you check to make sure the beggars are telling the truth about their needs?
No.  I don't question anyone.  And if you donate to someone and they spend the money on something other than what they asked for... no biggie!  You will never know.  You will, however, know that you made a donation to someone and that feels good!  And you can tell by the way people write their story if they are on the up and up.  I believe all the members are good and worthy :o)---back to top
